In my opinion this rental deserves a 5+rating. This a super clean, comfortable lake home. Plenty of space with a large shaded deck with good deck chairs. Nice dock you can sit on to watch kids in the water. It had everything you need to make great family memories with kids and grandkids (plently of games and puzzles). Also prompt response to the questions we had. If the kids want to have our family get together in DL next year. I will definately see if this house is available for that weekend.

The place was beautiful, it felt open and cozy at the same time. We really appreciated how family friendly the place is, our little one loved playing with the toys. Although Detroit Lakes is a popular summer destination, we had an awesome time this winter - the ski resort is great and there’s also cross country ski trails and snowshoeing.

So perfect for our family- it was cold outside so we enjoyed watching movies in front of the fire and playing games at the kitchen table with the sun coming in the beautiful windows. Extremely clean! Best beds we have ever found in a rental! Great place to recharge and relax.

This place was even better than described! It had every little thing you could even think about needing. Clearly, Ross has thought about every detail of making a place feel like home. We were surprised to even find a cooler to use for packed lunches one day! We enjoyed the games that were there. We don't have little kids anymore, but if someone did travel with young ones, the toys at the house were perfect! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The view from the dining room table alone made this place worth every penny.

This place was perfect for our girl's weekend! The house is spotless, beautiful, everything is new, we loved the space! We had beautiful fall weather & were pleasantly surprised to see that the dock was still in the water, which allowed us to play cornhole and have a fire in the smokeless solo stove in the yard. Ross the host was super responsive and is even lining up a way to get my Apple watch back to me. 10/10 customer service! We hope to book again!!!

Ross’s home was absolutely stunning. It was impeccably clean and designed beautifully. We were very impressed by its location on the lake, in a quiet neighborhood near a golf course. The amenities inside the home and outside the home were vast — from toys and recreational gadgets, to kitchenware and shampoo! Ross really knows how to be a great host. He is very responsive and flexible. Would 100% stay here again.

Everyone loved this home on Lake Sallie! We went swimming, enjoyed the sunsets, sat around a campfire and made s'mores, and we even got to see the Northern Lights! The littles enjoyed all the toys and had fun collecting shells. The home is incredibly clean, well organized, and comfortable. We hope to come back again! Thanks for everything, Ross!
